Cost of travelling

Thought of buying a packaged tour for the New Year holidays which are about 10 days here and spending some time relaxing. Of course I had knew that prices are high and expected that it would be rather expensive. But then the financial crisis happened in September and October. As far as I know usually companies working in tourism set prices for their winter tours in August. So in August price of oil was enormous and prices of hotels were also high. As a result prices of packaged tours were also high. And then the crisis happened, some people lost their jobs, some people lost lots of money on markets and price of oil is three times lower. Honestly I expect that the prices of packaged tours will be lower too. Yet it did not happen. However rumors has it that number of sold packaged tours is rather low and people aren't in hurry. So I keep waiting
