what is your opinion about doctors and painkillers?

Generally, please. You trust doctors or hate doctors. You are scared at the sight of a doctor or glad?
Today I have visited a doctor. She has given me a form to go to another doctor and some painkillers. I don't feel any pain - so today i am glad as deals this point. As deals others - I am stunned cause she even didn't examine me!
Was it OK?
She prescribed some pills to me and let me to go for futher treatment to a speacilist while she even didn't look at my aching part of body!!!
As deals this part of my visit I am dissatisfied and disapointed.
How could she neglect her patient???
That's why I don't like doctors.
PS. My painkiller was rather cheap. So I bought it.

They make our lives easier by easing the pain we might feel. I think they're a good invention.

Yes - painkillers are good but sometimes is also good to feel pain in order to be reminded that something is wrong.
So because I don't feel any terrible pain I didn't insist on any expensive painkillers.
In the other case... hm hm hm...

As deals doctors - I don't like being boiled down to a next chip card put into machine and computer print "go in this way" , "go out that way".
While in the meantime a music out of tape recorder is supposed to soothe my strained...nerves while waiting in a some-hours-long queue. I do trust elswewhere in the world everything is much better:).

Well ...the best view of what-is-on I still have on my national forums where some posts... "my wild life in Wild-West Poland" - the only good title for them.

I think once your ailment is diagnosed pain-killers are a very useful tool for managing pain. I think most people trust their doctor (if you don't; find a new one). There have been times in my life when I have had to take them because of serious illness and childbirth. It is like anything though you have to be careful as to how many you take and how long you take them for, because they are addictive.
