I'm trying to remember the term for giving something emotions that doesn't have them. This term was two words.
Example: "It was an angry wind."

This sounds like personification, though that is only one word. There may be another term that escapes me.

Yes, that is basically the right answer.
However, I found what it was I had been thinking of: pathetic fallacy.
