home economics or home education

Postby Fujibei » Sat Jan 30, 2010 12:08 pm

Are home economics or home education taught at American elementary school?
If so, what is taught specifically?

Home economics isn't usually taught in elementary schools. I think it's taught more in middle or high schools as an elective (a class that students can choose to take, but aren't required to do). I never took it, but I think cooking, ironing, child care, and other home activities are taught.
