array is usually an ordered, organised group of things
an array of new cars, an array of troops
(It also has technical meanings in mathematics and computing.)

bunch is usually a disordered, unorganised group of things:
a bunch of grapes, a bunch of thugs, a bunch of flowers
(It can also be used informally - I've got a whole bunch of essays to correct tonight.)
