Colud someone explain me the meaning of "field-worthy". Thank you.

It sounds as though it means "fit to be used in the field". The "field" can mean several different things, including an "area of operations" or something like a "battle-field". So "field-worthy" could be used about, for example, a large gun.

Compare "roadworthy" which you will find in any good dictionary. Or "airworthy".

However, for a more precise explanation, you should always show examples of the word in context. If you can provide the sentence or sentences where you found this word we can help more.

Thank you, Josef! Here is the sentence: Project is based on the lack of knowledge of the health effects of .... and on the shortage of field-worthy, cost-effective ways for reliable assesment...

So these are "ways for (of) reliable assessment that are fit to be used in the area of operations" that the project covers.

"field-worthy" in this case would be "realistic and tested ways that are proven (to work)"
