Food collocations

Post by IrinaOlegovna »

Hi!

The question is if it is possible to say such a word expression as "sophisticated food"? If yes, what does it mean?

And when we say "rich food", does it mean "a great variety of dishes, cooked in a complicated way"?

Thank you very much!

Rich food is rich in terms of it's ingredients, high calorie things like butter, cream, oils etc.

Yes, you can say sophisticated foods. Just google it and you'll see many examples.
