Yesterday when I talk with a English speaker the situation that usually when I get mad at my boyfriend, he is the one taking the first move to talk to me. The native speaker said "What a long ear!" What that means? I really don't understand that. Is there anyone who can explain that to me?
Thx a lot.

Re: the meaning of "What a long ear!"
People sometimes use "a long ear" as a compound noun meaning a donkey or a mule - a supposedly stupid animal. Maybe that was the meaning.
