If you want to learn a new idiom every week (in addition to the ones here!) I just found out that the Web2Carz website has a weekly idiom article that explains what the idiom means and how it came to be. They are really helpful. This week's was "jump the shark"! I had NO idea what that one meant, previously. If you go to web2carz dot com, its under the "trends" tab.
