Postby jamestian » Fri Mar 19, 2010 12:21 pm

Dear All:

This summary is about 250 words.I know all of you are very busy ,and do not have time to view a long essay,so I have divided it into several parts to be convenient to modify.
(for presentation not for formal document)
thanks.

1.I would like to talk about "Australia debates nuclear waste".

2.It's no doubt that people do not want to live near a nuclear waste dump.

3.Where to set up a nuclear waste dump has become a controversial issue for a long period.

4.In the near future ,this problem will also happen in Australia since the Europe will not
reprocess the nuclear waste that Australia sent .

5.For example,"Mucktaty Station ,an isolated property 120 kilometres from Tenant Creek in the Northern Territory, has been chosen as a possible site."(1)

6.Even local aborigines have offered to sell the land for $11 million, but still other indigenous groups in the area refuse this decision.

7.As they are worry about the healthy and environmental implications.

8.In order to reduce the arguments,"Ministers have indicated that the nuclear dump won't be build if landowners opposed it."(2)

ps .(1),(2) are partly from bbc learning english
