Fill in the gaps with the correct form of the verb in brackets:

And I 14 ____(to phone) you on Thursday & Friday.
I even 15 _____ (to call) you this morning.

My variant:

And I was phoning you on Thursday & Friday. // Past Continuous
I even called you this morning. // Past Indefinite

But my answer is not correct.
