To Aiza,
I'm really glad to find a Basque person here!!! Welcome dear, are you new??? I can say something in Euskera
By the way, like I said, I am Catalan, so here are some words in my language:
Bon dia : good morning
Bona nit: Good night
Bona tarda: Good afternoon
T'estimo : I love you
Fins aviat : See you later
:D :D :D

Aiza,
In Basque, I just can remember the words and phrases that everybody learns at first, such as (I'll try to translate them for the rest of the forum members):
Kaixo, Zer moduz? (Hello, how are you?)
Ondo, eta zu? (Good, and you?)
Agur (bye)
Maite zaitut (I love you)
Eskerrik asko / Eskerrak (Thank you)
Ez horregatik (You're welcome)
Zorionak (congratulations)
(Ni) Mercè naiz (I am Mercè)
Egunon (good morning)
Arratsalde on (good afternoon)
Gabon (good night)
Zenbat urte dituzu? (How old are you?)
Ok enough for now 8) by the way, I've got a Catalan friend who has learnt Basque on his own and can speak it really fluently! :P

That is great, Aiza! How old is your daughter? Are you interested in learning Catalan? In fact I'm well-used to English teaching, so I don't know how to teach Catalan; unless I teach you some basic and dayly use sentences :D
Hola = Hello (like in Spanish but the first syllable is pronounced a little bit different; we have more vowels than in Spanish)
Com estàs? = How are you? (singular, one person)
Com esteu? = How are you? (plural, two persons or more)
Estic bé, gràcies = I am good, thank you.
Com et dius? = What's your name?
Em dic.... = My name's ...
Tant de gust = Pleased to meet you
Fins aviat = See you soon
Adéu siau = Good-bye
Now you can practise a little conversation in Catalan with your daughter! :D
