Asian actors and actresses: worth to compare

Postby MissLT » Thu Apr 28, 2005 11:59 pm

Ok, we have a thread is especially for Stephen Chow, but we don't have a thread for other actors and actresses; therefore, I've made this thread so we all could talk about Asian actors and actresses here. There is one thing different about this thread, though. In this thread, we don't talk about each individual actor and actress; we'll compare who is better than whom or whom you like better  . Ok, let's write write, write, write, share, share, share, share......

JET LI VERSUS JACKY CHAN
Who do you like better? Personally speaking, I like Jet Li better. It's because I admire his beautiful moves in all his movies; he tends to specify more about beautiful kungfu moves than funny kungfu moves. Also, my cousin used to watch a lot of his movies to imitate the moves; therefore, I got used to classify which move is better than moves in Jacky's movies.

I prefer Jet Li, too, because he fights better. But the chances of me liking a movie more goes with Jacky. Take for example, Black Mask or The One. Oh man, I was contemplating whether or not I should destroy my DVD player halfway through those two.

Jacky's getting old. I really enjoyed his older movies like Operation Condor and Police Story. Jet Li, for me, his best movie was Fist of Legend. There were so many awesome fight scenes!!

I haven't watched any Jacky's old movies. I only watch the recent ones, the ones he's made them in Hollywood. But I think I'm gonna check his old movies out to see the difference between his and Jet's. For Jet Li's movies, I love the bodyguard from Beijing.

Yes, it's one of his best movies indeed. I can't remember how many times my cousin had watched that movie to imitate his moves. I just remember that I got sick of it so bad that I had to walk away whenever he turned it on, but then after awhile, I loved it again :D .

JACKY CHEUNG HOK-YAO VERSUS ANDY LAU TAK-WAH
These are two famous singers in Hong Kong and possibly around Asia. I mean, if you're a fan of Asian music, I think there is a 99% chance that you know who they are. Ok, who do you like better? Who do you think is better at singing or acting (yes, they do act)? LOL, I know they're hard questions because personally speaking, it's hard for me to answer those since I love them both because each of them is unique in his own way. However, if someone put a gun to my head and made me choose, I think I'd say I liked Jacky Cheung better. I think I like his songs better than Andy's, but I like Andy's movies better than Jacky's. LOL, again, sometimes something is frigging hard to choose.
