Dear Chet, I remeber that in one of your replies you talked about mexican food, Now with that question I notice that you are very very interested in that.
Traditional mexican food is delicious but with too much condiments and I don´t refer only to the Chili (hot flavor) but also some other condiments essential to transform a comun dish in a delicious dish. Some foreing people think that mexicana food contains to much fat too. In fact mexican dishes have fat and condiments but a very good dish is the dish that combined that elementos without a risk for the healt. To be a very good chef of mexican dish required time and get the secrets of our granmothers.
But at México there isn´t only traditional food, in every state you can find: fast food (hamburguers, pizzas, etc), chines and japanese food (to much people like this dishes) vegetarian (every time more an more mexicans prefer take care of their healt and becoming vegetariasn), etc.
At mexico there aren´t only "TACOS", there is Sushi too.

About life styles is another chapter and a large chapter, maybe some other time, but you should be sure that this is a cosmopolite country with almost 100 big cities.

Thank you Querido Elba, eventually, I know the name of the famous food of Mexico “TACOS”, I first saw it in a travelling TV program. As far as I know, it is daily food for Mexican and usually served with hot chilli meat. I have never tried traditional Mexican food in Hong Kong but in Australia. I have tried TACOS with yogurt like source with bean and some chilli on it. Actually, A chef add everything including tomato source, yogurt, bean, chesses and some corn chips on a TACOS, then put it into the oven. It smelled and taste excellent as the chesses melted on the bean and yogurt. It was wonderful.

MY God!

If I eat the dish you mentioned it is sure I will get very sick.
Tacos is not the daily food of mexicans. People of my country eat "Tortillas", like a bread but circular, flat and very very thin. People eat tortillas with the brackfast, lunch or dinner in the same way people of another countries eat bread.
Some dishes, like tacos, are made with tortillas, but mexican people never use yogurt wit tortillas, this is a mistake, a bad invention of international chefs. Mexicans use cream which is getting from milk, but not bulgary milk, milk of a cow. In fact we eat yogurt with fruit.
Oh Chet you must to come to mexico to know the authentic mexican food.

   I totally agree with Elba, I would never eat "tacos" with yogurth on them :? :? I can't imagine how they taste :?:

And of course mexican food is by far more than tacos, this is only part of our traditional food but here you can eat different dishes prepare with meat, chicken, fish, lamb, insects too

The following are mexican dishes:

"Tamales"
"Enchiladas" or "Chilaquiles" made with tortillas and hot chili
"Barbacoa" lamb meat.
"mixiotes" made of lamb, chicken or pork
and of couse the tasty "beans"

Every single region in our country has its traditional food, so it would be impossible to mention all.

Elba is right when she says, you should come to our country, and try all the delicious food, and I'd like to add: to visit its wonderful places and to know its fantastic people.

We have a GREAT COUNTRY

Thank You Elba and idalia , I have confused with TACOS and TORTILLAS. I think i refer to TORTILLAS. I like South America, including Bazil, Venezueca, Mexico, Chile and Argentina. I hope to visit these countries, however, the air-ticket is too expensive even only to one country, i mean connective freight, not direct freight. It is around USD2,500 to USD3000 in economic class exclusive of accomodation.
