The Old Man and the Sea

Postby Coolfish » Thu Apr 14, 2005 12:35 pm

Hi, everyone, I'm reading Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea. Is anyone interesting in it? I'm very glad to discuss with you.

I read it about 25 years ago... I don't think I can remember details, though I liked the book. I'd enjoy reading your impressions. Don't rely on me but if I feel like participating I'm in.

I've read it in Vietnamese and I don't like it :? . Maybe I might like it when I try the English version. But likely, I'm not interested in his books.

Hi, bacteria,

I like the fishman, although he is poor and old. He loves the sea, and never give up anything. I like Hemingway's writing style, clean lauguage, which makes me read the book easily and joyful. Also he takes me a real look of fishmen's life.

BTW, bacteria, what is meaning of "hix"?
