Postby ausluviet2000 » Sun Jan 09, 2005 11:28 pm

Hi every one,
I know its one thing to know the grammar and the contents of english language, but i know from living with the Vietmanese Community in Australia for more than 17 years that listening and speaking frequently is so important to get your pronouncation correct.I talk to alot of Vietnamese students, and im told they can read and write English but can't speak that well. Can you tell me is their a high need in Vietnam for Conversational English Teacher?

Please read the post below (or maybe above) "Info from an Asian American teacher" by Tamdoankc. I've met him and if he was a European looking American he wouldn't have had any trouble finding/keeping a job. Comparing your writing with Tamdoankc's, I would to say that you would have a MUCH more difficult time finding a job than he did.

I'm dissuading you (look it up) for your own good and the good of the students and their families. They pay a very high price for foreigner teachers and deserve someone with better speaking skills than their Vietnamese instructors.
