English clubs?

Postby tamdoankc » Wed Jan 19, 2005 12:14 am

Can anyone tell me if there are any student organized English clubs in HCMC? A couple of years ago I participated in an English club held on Sundays at the Foreign Language School on the corner of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Pham Ngoc Thach :? Can someone tell me the locations and times of any other clubs?

Don't they have the locations in Muc Tim magazine, the magazine for teens that they read a lot in Vietnam? I think you can call them and ask.

Thanks lennye_tran,

But I'm in the US right now and don't have access to any Vietnamese magazines. I'll be heading back to Vietnam next week and hopefully participate in some clubs.

I see.... well, good luck with the searching and your up coming trip then. Actually, you can ask pBal or sad_girl for the link/s. I believe they will have some Muc Tim or other magazines at home. ;)

Hummm, Len, why do you think sad girl and I can help tamdoan?
I am not too young to read Muc Tim and Hoa Hoc Tro although sometimes I did cause my young sister love it very much and she is willling to …..( yes, willing to buy before asking me money , is she cute???), tamdoan’s memory is very good because he could remember the streets where there is an English club every Sunday morning although he said that he went to Australia some years ago ( that’s the question I will ask him then) and now, I would like to introduce tamdoan and every member who want to find a place to exchange of learning foreign language. There are many universities in every province of Vietnam country. That means there are also lots of English Clubs on that place, don’t require any ability or degree, just need you love learning English and wish to improve your english by sharing your point of view with all members there. it’s very easy for you to go around the University of Tech or Economics or so on… and ask every student or watchman the way to entrance to Club.I hope this information can help you next time. Of course English Clubs in HCMC all always welcome you as long as you have free time.
You can also contact with sad girl to know more,
The last but not least, thank Len who thinks of me and sad girl :)
