Mauritania, The amazing dream

Postby Elba » Tue May 24, 2005 11:42 pm

Friends,

I´m a latinamerican woman, but I would like to share a dream with you:
Some night I have a dream, the most amazing dream: I was walking in a beach, it was the most beautiful beache I have seen, nobody was there, except me and a voice that was behind of me. A voice of a woman, I don´t know who was her.
Suddenly I began to climb a risk, I did it very easy, but at the same time I was afraid of fall dawn. Since the top of the risk I could see the beach, and I felt free, very very free. The top of the risk was coveren by snow, but I was not cold, I felt very good. The voice order me go dawn again, and I began to descend from the top with big facility. when I returned to the beach I aske her
- "But tell me where we are"
then she said: - Mauritania.
- Mauritania. I replied
-Yeah
-And Where is it? I asked
Then I wake up. The dream was over.

I have searching for any information of that country, and african country. I don´t know nobody at EC from Mauritania. but I´d like to share with you only some aspects of that country and of african culture:
Every time someone ear the word Africa people think in wild life, but the black continent is more than that.
Example: sculpture like this:

Nobody knows how many countries there are. Then you can search the web site: http://www.sas.upenn.edu/African_studies/

An there you can see the flag of Mauritania:
http://www.sas.upenn.edu/African_studies/Flags_gif/Mauritania_Flag_11195.-IDidNotReadTheRules

And in this site you can see that Mauritania, my dream, is among Algeria, Mali, Senegal y Morocco, and it has a beach, a big and I supossed a beautifull beach, as I dream.
And if you don´t deslike the participation of a latinamerican woman in that forum in future replies I hope to let you know more about the country of my dream.
