3 Things I couldn't do without from Mexico

Postby mexico » Wed Sep 04, 2002 3:29 am

Here is a quick thought, and it may help students with the second conditional -check it out...

I've lived in Mexico for 4 years and as a consequence there are various things, that if I were to leave, I would really, really miss!!

1. I would miss the easy going people patient people, 8) who have no problems helping you out when you need it. Nothing is a problem. I like this aspect :laugh

2. I would most definitely miss :tevil Chilli! :tevil I may be able to find it wherever I go (more or less), but would I get it on my fruit salad, my popcorn and my candy? No way Jose! Chilli is king here in mexico, and I love it - especially the salsa on every table in every restaurant

3. Hmmm third thing, could it be the sun, the tacos, the music, the palm trees, the girls :oops , the beach, the corona? Maybe, but really, above all, I would miss the mariachis!!!! Because when you are invited to a party, and suddenly, unexpectedly, a group of traditional singers, in full costume start singing their romantic songs in full voice, and everyone invited to the party joins in the singing. It is something quite beautiful.

These are the things I would most miss! What would you most miss if you had to leave the country?

Have a think about it, and share it on the forum, we would all like to know:-)

Thanks Mathew

Hi dear,

You go to Canada to study and becoming a better english teacher, then you should be happy.
I know dear sister that you will miss familly, friends, but I don´t think you will miss food because at Canada there are lots of mexicanas, and I´m sure you can find any place where you can eat a delicious "enchiladas".
Hey Sele send me a messege by Hotmail. My acount of Internet is finished, but I use it at the office. Tell me if your sister and your brother pass the exams, and how about you trip to Canada.

Going to Mexico

Postby DJdave » Thu Feb 23, 2006 3:09 am

I want to retire early and spend my winters in Mexico. So far this is what I have found from reading and surfing the net. I don't know that any of this is true but here goes. I could live modestly in Mexico and it would not cost me an arm and a leg. If I stay in or near a big city it will cost too much. I've read that most everything is slow paced. I want to get all the info I can before I make my first trip. Then I want to make a long trip and stay a while to see how I like it. Is it true that Mexico is changing more and more everyday when it comes to shopping, phones, roads, DSL. And you can(DRINK THE WATER?) LOL! My AOL chat name is dtbanta my e-mail address is
DJdave01@alltel.net any friendly info would be great.
Thanks

Living in mexico provices is totaly pacefull. The city is the greates in the world. International mass media talk about insecurity, this is a great problem, it is parcial true. Some times people don´t take messurments to prevent accidentes, kidnappers, murders, etc.
What can I tell you about my country. In my 46 years old I haven´t suffered those actions and I hope never happen to me.
