Well, yes I think it is one of my hobby. I have messed with it a whole. I have builded a linux router to share my Internet connection with neighbor. In begining I had much work to keeb all running, but now it's worked ower two years without problems... except of some isp problems, or power cut offs.

Yes I think it is surely one of my hobby.

Oh, you're really good, Hardi! I also should share it with my neighbours to reduce the expense.

It's not much expensive. Anyway, it depends on how long you're online. Yeah, its cost is reducing here too.

Well , nowaday, Internet is very very popular, so i think that everybody also knows it.
But it 's not true if we say that all of them understand it and use it useful.

What you mean with "understanding" and how is useful? Is some one's understanding more right than mine.

well, here in portugal the internet is growing day by day and the prices are also getting lower along the years, i guess the majority of the people in portugal already use the internet to do something but we still have people that don't use the net, special those that have more than 40 years old and still having some difficult in use a computer.

Talking about the prices of the internet in portugal, i can say that a connection of 1024Kb it's around 35€ per month and 512Kb more less 20€, of course this connection's are always on, i mean you can use the hours you want.

cheers,

I pay 1024 Kbs internet line something less than 11€.. yet I share it with one of my neighbor, so it cost me only about 4€.. 11€ is though very infrequent price, usually it cost something about 15 - 30€.. pending of location, ISP.. etc.

BTW. When comparing 11€ price with estonian salary then is that price probably very equitable... so not needed to be envious

I can't imagine my life without the internet now. When I first got the computer it was just a bit of fun. Now I use it for all sorts of practical reasons; including finding cheap accomodation; camp sites etc.

We have just been able to connect to Broadband where I live and I was straight into it. It makes life so much easier and overall it is so much cheaper as you don't have to pay for dial up fees.

My mother is quite elderly and she loves the net. Everytime she comes to my house she hops on the pc and has a play around. I think it is great.

I'm trying to talk her into getting a computer as she lives on her own and I think she would have hours of fun, especially being able to web-chat with her brother in Ireland. He is older than her and he picked up the skills so quickly.
