Realistically speaking, were the GIC to become a reality, countries like Cuba, China and Iran, which already heavily regulate and censor their population's Internet access, would be in charge of regulating the flow of information on the WWW to all countries.
And it is Cuba, China, Iran and other information-repressive nations that have been pressing hardest for the U.S. and ICANN to relinquish control of domain name administration.
Can the U.N. be Trusted With The WWW?

I read this article Danyet and to be honest it is a pile of BS!! What a load of propaganda. We are all aware of the restrictions that are placed on various countries by Govt. regulations but hey it isn't going to happen to the US, Australia, Britian etc. There would be riots in the streets, do you think that these Governments that have allowed freedom of speech for decades are going to let someone run their countries technologies and use thereof? I don't think so!danyet wrote:http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Re ... p?ID=20207
