Hi dear Jkw. I'm Oriani from your neighboor country Venezuela. How Are u??? How's Colombia now?? Ok, as well as mine? I hope. First of all I have to say that I'm very glad that those topics ( about Colombia & Venezuela) have been named here. At last....!!! :) !

What I know about your country are that Women are also as beautiful as ours. That Colombia is plenty of coffee (Cacao I think)! The great Soup Operas, for example Betty la fea ( I really liked it) and some other ones.

I've got some frieds form Colombia, by the way one of them lived at my house when he was in Vzla.

There's somethin' that I want u all to know. Colombia IS NOT A BAD COUNTRY NO!! It's just a country which need help so that those bad situations end at all, as any country does. All other countries have problems too. Vzla has problems. South America also, with poor people etc...!!! Let's see Colombia with good eyes, and you'll notice how nice and beautiful it is...!!

WELCOME TO LATIN AMERICA.

KISSES.

Good for you Oriani!

I know a song of Pablo Milanes, a cuban aauthor- that say:

I don´t live in a "perfect society"
I ask you don´t give us that name
If there is something that I feel about my country
is that it is made for men an woman.

Latinamerica is not a "perfect society", it isn´t Colombia, nor Venezuela, nor México or Cuba. They are countries with too much problems, as UK, France, China, USA, Saudi Arabia or another in the world.
As another countries, some people is good people I mean with good behaivoir, some others are bad. Nobody is perfect, include in the Paradise where lived Adan and Eve.
I feel bad when I know any mexican kill people in USA, or another country, but I trust that people of that country had the capacity to think that not all the mexicans are killers.
Is the same at Colombia, not all the people work in drugs, not all woman destroy families.
I´m happy about the answer of Oriani and FWK, the only way we -altinamerican people- have to people arround the world change the image about latinamerica is talking about us, about the mistakes, the good things in our land, is give you the reallity of us.
Please EC members, feel free to express all your opinions about our continente, as Dixie did, please give us your Five.

well, i hope you understand this country as well as others countries around the world has problems, but not all the people from colombia is bad, like in the whole world there are lots of good people and there are bad peolple also, i want you to know we are very good workers and by the way here there are lots of beautiful women really nice ehh... i think i live in the women's paradise.

about Dixie says is true, some people but a few causes damage to colombia's image in others countries but the most part of colombia's people is really good.

the fact is we live happy, we like dancing, laghting, drinking (beer, rum) and having a good time.

if you want to know more about colombia just visit it and you can see thats is great... :!: :!: 8)

Don't worry Jkw, that happens everywhere. When people have bad experiences with foreigners, they immediately think all foreigners are the same.

well, first of all nice to meet you jkw, and to be honest my opinion about colombia its not to far from the one that the other users have gave to you.. if you ask someone in portugal about colombia you should know that their answer its gonna be about drugs.... although i think its a very nice place to visit like many other countries in south america, special because of their people and amazing natural features, and i really believe that there's many beautiful womens there.. i have a friend that he born in Venezuela and he lived there for 15 or 16 years, i cant remember precisely now... but when i go out with him he is always saying that there's nothing like the latin womens, and i say to him.. my god they must be really nice, you never stop talking about them, guess where he likes to go very often, Spain... he said that its where he can find more examples of the latin womens, im always laughing with his thoughts about womens

Latin America

Postby keko » Fri Mar 17, 2006 6:59 am

Colombia and all south american countries are seen in a partial manner due to the media.Naturally, a headline related to drugs traffic sells a newspaper in the rest of the world but what it is really important to our countries is headlines related to how we improve the education in our nations, how democracy is being consolidated and to make a long story shorter....come and discover our culture, dance with us, feel the spirit of freedom wherever you go.
Lucky me, I was born in Latin America
