Venezuela: Land of beauty

Postby Elba » Thu Mar 02, 2006 2:02 am

To latinamerican people Venezuela is knowing as the country of beauty. Why? because this country has the first place in the ranking of latinamerican beauty queens selected in the popular Miss Universe award.
Yeah! That cold competence -I´m sure in this forum it hasn´t popularity- generally select blond girls or light girls from USA, Europe and in few ocasions from Asia and Latinamerica.
But when the first place is for Latinamerica, generaly is a woman fron Venezuela.
Why Venezuela ? this is a mistery, but I´m sure this year USA declined to give the first place to a latinamerican woman and even a woman from Venezuela, the reazon: Hugo Chavez -The president of Venezuela- is a headacke to USA.
Oriani, could you takl to us about that competence?
Is it popular at Venezuela?
What does the girls of your country think about that kind of competitions?

Hi everybody!! How’s it going? AT LAST!!! Venezuela is named here and I’m very happy and glad about it.. Thanks dear Elba.!!! Well, get ready to get know better my beautiful country Venezuela.!

Venezuela is located on the North of South America, between Colombia and Brazil, two other countries u have to visit too.! Our official language is Spanish, but in Venezuela is called Castellan. Its capital city is Caracas where our Liberator was born, it has 23 states, the most beautiful beaches of the world, the highest waterfall of the world which name is Salto Angel, perfect rivers, views, by the way, Venezuela is on the 10th place of Biodiversity of the world and our natural water is the second best one of the world. Did u know that? And of course our beautiful, popular and well known Misses.!

As you already know, Venezuela is on the Top of the Raking. We have several ladies who have been Queens of Beauty and etc. AMAZING! Isn’t it? Maybe God blessed Us with it, I mean, we have a natural beauty, sympathy, we’re easy going people, friendly… and I’m talking about boys too. Boys are very handsome and good looking too.! We think that Miss Venezuela and that world is a Symbol of our culture.

Talking about our Misses. Not everything is about modeling, being on TV or into the Miss Venezuela, Miss Universe or other kind of Miss’s Contest. Ladies have to be also intelligent and smart. Have at least a profession already or being studying in college; have a talent for example musician or singer , dancers etc. The appropriated age to be on it is 18 years old, although just a few ladies with 17 have been on it before (because they close to 18).

There’s something else u have to know about the Miss Venezuela but I think it’s ok for now. About my President. .Mmmm I like him , I barely know why USA almost HATE everything about us, but I think is not about the people, it’s all about the Two both presidents. But I hate talking about it.

That’s all for today. You can add , ask, post what ever u want to. I’ll be glad to answer the questions u want.

I hope u can come and get to know us better someday. So, WHAT ARE U WAITING FOR??? Latin America is waiting for you.. Venezuela is waiting for u…

Oriani, you have mentioned something very important. In latinamerican countries the beauty competition requiered a big organization, and before the principal competition, everylady take part in regional and local contest.
I know in another countries, principaly at Europe, the ladys are choosen throug a magazin, only sent a letter with a photo, after that the magazine choose the queen of beauty.
Another important think is that here at Latinamerica the queen must to have a degree of university studies, and speak a two languate, the mother tongue and english or another.
That means, that in latinamerican countries the COLD COMPETITION is totally different, is not too COLD, is a contest of beautty and intelligence, is and advance in that kind of contest that for a long time were considered as sexual competitions.
I would like Tikay read this topic and give us her opinion. Tikar this is an aspect of frivol concept of beauty you musto to know.

Venezuela querida:
I lived in Venezuela for three years and I'll never forget the hospitality of their people.
How could I forget that delicious mix of water, flour maize and salt, cooking at Andean way and filled with some "Guayanés" cheese. This God's nectar, is known around the world as, the "Arepa".
I will never forget "mi querida Venezuela"
