okay I have been waiting to see if you were still around and were willing to answer my question...but I guess it really isn't terribly important because our thoughts ...this is what is important here....and the only problem I have with your argument is that you appear to be very much in your head....and possibly sneering at those who have some heart,
therefore, if you are so terribly academic, why not give a more knowledgeable explanation, yourself, about what you propose to be the best for this inconprehensible situation. We all know the gist of what could/should happen in the starving nations. And we are pretty sure that your country is extremely varied and there are more than these extremely conflicted countries of the African Continant. But these countries were the ones we were referancing... and the peoples who are suffering from the lack of healthy food and systems pointing toward sustainability...not those places that are doing fairly well thanks to Nelson Mandela and people like him who have suffered much for these changes.
I will guess that you are Egyptian and/or wealthy, please tell me, am I wrong?
If I were living in your town would I be hearing about (people like myself) All those clowns in other countries who have no idea of the situation? I suppose I could possibly hear about such things all day long...but it is useless to try to make people who care feel like idiots, isn't it? Mainly because we have so many great ideas, about certain conflicts. It is just funding or cold hard cash and thus the ability to pursue our dreams... that so many of us do not have. But we still have hearts.
If you were telling me that I was too ignorant to speak on the subject...for me to read those books and not to post until i have read up, well, that is just...a bit too arrogant for my sensibilities, (but I have done the same thing once) and I would then be sure to tell you where to look for articles on developing compassion, and perhaps one or two on the latest brain research, before I would ever even want to hear from you again...but lets just call it a truce. (is this cityyoung?)
No one should tell people how to feel. This is just plain good common sense stuff.
That is very elitist. Therefore I suppose you are bred with the rich....who will also tell one how to pick their nose in a proper manner...but one just seems to know how without any help at all. Some things are known without any needed research aren't they now?
