Learning Español

Postby jakeson » Sat Aug 05, 2006 6:30 am

Is there someone willing to teach me Español? My country has been under Spain for more than three hundred years back in the 15th century, but only small traces of Español can be found in our language.

Days of the week for instance are still spoken. Lunes, Martes etc. The same is through with the months of the year. I really wanted to learn the grammar. Spanish class has already been phased out long before I entered college.

Will there be someone kind enough to teach me? :D

And by the way, I'll teach you English in return? What do you think? Isn't it a good deal? :D

There are several people here who speak spanish.^

For example, Dixie.

Los dias de la semana son : lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes.

Sábado y domingo son los días de la fin de semana.

Entschuldigung, ich spreche Französisch.

Yeah. A lot. except tha v is changed to b and, j to h, ie to y or iy. e.g. Lunes, Martes, Miyerkules, Huwebes, Biyernes etc.

Enero, Pebrero, Abril, Mayo, Hunyo, Hulyo etc.

Semana is also spoken in some native languages as mine, which is Ilonggo. Semana is also a week. Semana Santa, for example. And a lot of Spanish words. Kalye for Calle; mesa for table; bintana for ventana etc.

We also use the number names, uno, dos tres kuwatro, singko, sais, siyete, otso, nuwebe etc.

So the influence of Spanish is still present in Tagalog or the Filipino language...
