Steve Irwin - The Crocodile Hunter - Dies age 44

Postby Shazzam » Mon Sep 04, 2006 5:39 am

Steve Irwin better know as the "Crocodile Hunter" was killed this morning whilst filming a documentary off Port Douglas. Apparently he was stung by a stingray in the chest and died from a massive heart attack. He was 44 years old and leaves behind him a young daughter, son and a wife. :(

 I saw it and was about to post the same thing here. Man, when I first saw his picture and the world killed, I thought he was killed by crocodiles. Dying by what he did best. Isn't life a beeyatch?

Here is a little bit more information about the death of Steve Irwin.

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=127458

It has come as quite a shock it seems to have been a freak accident. You would have imagined that his demise would have been in the mouth of a crocodile. I feel so sorry for his wife and young children. They must be devastated. Especially his little girl "Bindi". They were inseperable. :( :(

Steve Irwin's family have rejected a state funeral as they want it just to be close family etc. I agree with them. Apparently there is video footage of him pulling the barb from his chest before he died. His Manager wants it destroyed. It shows him actually dying. I don't think anyone needs to see it.

I feel so sorry for his wife and children. He will be sorely missed in Queensland Australia he did so much for their tourist industry. I didn't even realise myself how much of an icon he was until this happened.

There is also contraversy as Germaine Greer (super idiot of womans rights; which had its place in the 60's and that is about the era that she came from) has put dirt on him as a stupid Australian in her column in England. She lives there now; and feels educated enough to encourage this sort of stuff. What a fool. She has made a farse out of womens rights. Now she is going to enter into an area she knows nothing of. How bad is this for his young family to have this ancient reptile bagging him out. Get a life you idiot~!!!

The crocodile hunter "Steve Irwin" was laid to rest on the weekend with just family and close friends apparently at Australia Zoo.

The Queensland government is going to hold a memorial service for him maybe at Suncorp Stadium. That is how popular this guy was.

His wife Terri must be shattered my heart really goes out to her. :(

Tickets have been on sale for the Steve Irwin tribute. I am amazed that they are actually going to charge people to attend a memorial service at Australia Zoo.
