I'd thank them for taking care of me all these years. And I would love them the same as I had always been.

What if your loved one had dated your long distant cousin, and you found out later on that the person cheated on your cousin to be with you?

Inform the authority first. If the kid was indeed neglected, I'd raise him/her.

Gosh, that's really mean... Well, I would try to convince the teacher that I'm innocent. Otherwise I couldn't do anything but to unpack the baseball bat for that very special classmate :evil:
