What are your plans for the Christmas break?

Postby Shazzam » Tue Oct 24, 2006 10:45 pm

I have only been on EC for just over a year and I did a thread similar to this last year?

What is everyone doing for Christmas?

We are going to have it with friends this year; which will be great for Carly. It is going to be a long hot summer here in OZ so we are going for a BBQ and some cool drinks (yes Danyet probably in cans)....

I don't know yet but I want to go visit my family. We always try to spend that time of year together since four out of seven of us kids have birthdays in December. Plus I want to see my naughty little neice again! We'll see what happens. :D

Wow. It is funny though because most of the birthdays in my family fall in December and January. Sometimes I feel sorry for my daughter and my nephew because the family tends to combine presents which I think is horrible. My mother never does that with the children but most of the rest do.

Do you have a traditional Christmas or are you guys more contemporary?

First plan was to spend Christmas Eve in Dublin, but later realized it was "too late" (August) as there were no flights with the characteristics we wanted.

Wow, it is great to have BBQ on Christmas. I am tire of white Christmas already. By the way, we are doing the same as usual. Before Christmas, we put up the tree and decorate the house. Kids really love this part. On Christmas day, friends and family gather together and have a big dinner. After dinner we open the Christmas gifts. Kids love this part more.

It’s a challenge for me that I am not sure what I am going to cook for this year. So I know for sure I will spend sometime on the net for surfing the recipe.
