AIDS is not a normal social disease, but a social one. It reflects the social conditions which are the fragility of rural economies and the lack of social power of women. It also reflects the high levels of migration of men. It reflects the spread of prostitution as a means of survival. And it reflects the fact that it is poor women who have the least social power to control their own sexuality.
AIDS is not a single nation's problem. It passes all countries' border in the world and becomes a global problem. To prevent AIDS, it requires the consensus of all people in the world, though young or old, male or female, poor or rich, black or white! African countries, specially children, need the help of the AIDS assistance programs from other countries. However, it must be an honest help, not the way of supporting money then selling drugs and treatments with a much higher price or at the aim of widenning political power as some countries have done!
