Oh Edumelo, as Dixie I didn´t like Rebelde. It hasn´t any value contest. And Bety la Fea is a soap opera from Colombia. A little funny. Now there is a mexican version: La fea más bella (The beaytifull more ugly).
The soap operas I mentioned had a historic or literary contest. Example Misses Flor and her two housband; August (this is about the died of Getulio Vargas, a president of Brasil).

Just a little comment: I didn't like it because I have never seen it I hate those programmes.

I seldom watch TV, but I never liked soap operas, especially the Latin American ones They are the worst thing ever!!!! However, I still remember the first one that was broadcasted here: Cristal. I was very little by then. It was from Venezuela, I think. My mom used to watch it every day and I loved the theme song.
