Sharks only eat people when: a. you accidentally touch them; b. they mistaken you as other animals in the ocean; and c. there is not enough fish around.

My cousin went to Palau and got some diving lessons there. During that time, her group met a couple of sharks and yet they still made back alive.

Before blaming on the sharks for eating people, you need to reconsider the environment of Australian ocean. Has the Australian ecosystem gotten worse that them sharks have to compete or look for other sources of food?

Good point Lenny. I would say definately in some cases. But with Great Whites I think the are man eaters.

Nothing has gotten any worse. The only thing that has changed is the fact that the greenies have stopped us from killing the sharks. So, now the sharks are killing us.

Danyet I know that you are a very intelligent and knowledgable person. I need to ask you! Have you ever considered the eco-system?

To begin with aren't we swimming in their domain. It would be like an intruder coming to your house and you feeling like you have the right to shoot them to protect yourself. Consider that argument!!

I would be interested in see that too!! From the information I have certain species of sharks are on the verge of becoming extinct because of changes to their environment and food sources (fished out, etc).
