This week: Brasil and its carnaval

Postby Elba » Wed Feb 08, 2006 11:33 pm

Have anyone heard about the Brasil Carnaval?
It is a big festivity before the eastern. The carnaval is a national party plenty of beauties, dancing, music, happyness. etc.
In the next link you get a complete explanation about that festivity. Enjoy it.
As an aditional note, I musto to say you that Brasil is the only country with a "Sambodromo", I mean a stadium where all people go the day of the carnaval, not to see the soccer, but also to sance, only dance.

I´m sorri friends because of my lateness. As you know sometimes I have too much work. But I´m here.

About Brasil Carnaval. What can I say? nothing better that other ec brasilian members -like edumelo- could say. but they should be very bussy this days, then I will try to explain.
Carnaval is a custum in all the countries whit majority chatolic population. In fact every country of Latinamerica has a carnaval before the begining of Easter and Holly Week.
That means that Carnaval is the last party before the holly days. All is permited in this period: sex, dance, etc., because after that chatolics must to continuo with the religion tradition about the crucifixion of Jesus.
The most popular carnaval at latinamerica is the carnaval of Brasil.
Thousand of people participate in this big party and go in a march for the principal aveneu of Rio du Janeiro, with luxiorious and beautiful clothes, make up, hats, etc. Beautifull women and hansome men integrate the big pared to the Sambodromo, a stadium not for play soccer, not for play baseboll, but also to dance samba. At the final of the party the authorities give a price to the best school of samba, with the best dancer and clothes.
You can find more in the next link and Sorry friends but I´m not brasilian, My only interes is all the world know Latinamerica and its people who is friendly, happy and warm.

carnival days

Postby keko » Fri Mar 17, 2006 5:35 am

Lucky me, I enjoyed the brazilian carnival in the city of Bahía de San Salvador. For the brazilian people, this is the authentic carnival, the carnival for the brazilian people which is different to that one celebrated in Rio de Janeiro. They call it "Carnaval do povo".
Any way, joy is the same and none who has been at carnival days will forget that experience.
Bon carnaval

well..I'm brazilian, so may I help a little hehe..

Each part of the country have a way of Carnaval..
São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are more famous the party at the "sambodramo"..
The northern part, cities like Salvador, Olinda e Recife have de Carnaval on the street with "trio elétrico" something like a bus that singers and bands sing and entertain the people..

And I live in the south part of the country...here the party are more in clubs and especific local...

But..aren't all brazilians like carnaval...on Tv sometimes like that when we are on this holiday all people put costumes, jump, dance, kiss and do everything that can..hehe

Carnival is coming again. It starts on 19th this month, I think. And what Duda said is true. I don't like carnival very much. The only thing I like in carnival is that we have three days as holidays, three days free of working, uni... This year I'm going camping.
