Islamic calligraphy is a primary form of art for Islamic visual expression and creativity. Throughout the vast geography of the Islamic world, Islamic calligraphy is a symbol representing unity, beauty, and power. This art has most often employed the Arabic script, throughout many languages.

I loved the sixth picture from the top by Dawood Biktash. It says Love days are like a drop of perfume; if we forget to smell it, it will be gone like the flowers we used for making it".

Miss Ladybird,
I´m curious about arabic language, but I think it is very difficult to occidentals learn your language because of the caligraphy.
Tell m dear, does you really write "word" in this way???
I know the order of the letters and words is different: you write contrary to us,I mean from left to wright.
Could you send a IMG of a letter??? Would be marvellous.
Abaut the first link, I´ve never imagined that people could say "Mahmud Khan son of Abdulhamid is forever victorious" in only "MOHMUD HAN BIN ABDULHAMID MUZAFFER DAIMA"
Beautiful Signature, very very Beautiful

Finally, do you know a web site where I could learn your language????

I wish!
No. Our regular hand writing is simpler and clearer than these pictures. They are more considered art work.

Of course dear!
The Arabic letters differs a lot in shape from Latin letters. It's like learning how to write the alphabets again! You remember how our I's and Q's used to look like when we started to learn letters in school. But with practicing, they improved. The same goes with Arabic!
