What things are unpolite in your country?

It is very impolite to call yourself “uncle” to people that you don’t know. Especially, it’s really rude when you call “son” to a person that you don’t even know how old he is.

It doesn't matter where I live. My traditional custom is almost the same as your. Young people should avoid calling old people by name. They suppose to call them uncle, aunt, Mr., Mrs. and so on. However in English, you can’t say you’re are uncle to everyone unless that person really related to you or you knew that person very well.

I am not sure what you mean “om”. Maybe you mean “ông” in Vietnamese and Mr. in English. I refer to call me by name. It’s friendly in that way.

Because psychologically speaking, you are not an open person.
