I don't know the city, but every time I hear about it is because of drugs, mafias, poverty, dirty streets, wandering children...

Hi!
That's true. Most of the times, those are the issues people mention about Colombia. Indeed, its inhabitants center themselves on those problems. Still, if you find out more about this country, you'll see that it goes further:

- Medellin is a lovely city full of talent, wonderful places and a lovely accent.
- The 'Boom' of the coffee is over, but there are other valuable products: bananas, flowers, fabrics, etc.
- Some popular charaters were born in this happy corner - sure, not only Shakira or Juanes. There are more!!! :P
- Colombia has wonderful places to visit, from cities to native lands, costs, forests, parks. Just to mention, what we name 'Eje Cafetero': Panaca, Coffee Park, etc., or its coasts, its rivers.... Even the cities! Bogotá is an attractive city - However, forget about its river.

More reasons, after drinking a cup of coffee. :P

Hi Pablo. I'm really happy to be in touch with a person from Colombia. I had been in Colombia many times and I love your country. I can't forget my best juniniadas. I also been in Nutibara and I can't tell you it is an unforgetable place. I have been in Bogotá too a pretty city I think it is as an European city. What do you do for living? Have you ever been in Costa Rica? I can tell you that my country is also a beautiful place. Many Colombians are living here know. Hoping you answer soon. Hazel
