Well in ly opinion Paulina Rubio it is very popular but no because she is a good singer, i Think its because she shows her body and she is "pretty" or whatever, but she is not a talent singer, also Ricky Martin, he only kwos to dance and be really nice in camera, but he doesn't have an amazing voice, he is pure marketing. I don't want to offend anybody I'm just saying my opinion.

Chopil,

You don´t offend nobody. The porpouse of this forum y let people arround the worl know us like we are. Then feel free to express your opinion. The only rule is read the rules of the forum Mr Josef wrotte.
I´m partiali agree with you. Martín is too handosome, good rythm, so so voice, a high degree of marketing. Compared with Chayanne I think Chayanne is better.
By the other hand Latinamericans should to be proud of someone, then I´m proud that in our continent there were people like them., like Chakirta, Juanes, Manna (even if not like me to much)Fito Paez, Cespedes, Tania Libertad (doesn´t like me) Placido Domingo, Fernando de la Mora, and much more of all themusic generes.

Does anyone know Alturas? I saw them playing live in Downtown Disney in California and I like their music a lot.

Not being talented, she managed to become famous and popular; she got money and luxurious life, she got anything she could possibly want. As for “showing her body”, even truly-talented singers with “amazing voices” do it.

A pretty face or hot dancing sells more than quality music, take Ska music for example. Great music, lyrics that handle just about any topic, love, fun, protest, and yet, it's taken aside by lower "artists" everyone becomes singer-actor nowadays....
