American Movies.

Most movies that are made are Trash. But this is to be expected. Not every stone can be a gem. But occasionally very good movies are made. I watched a good movie yesterday with Leonardo DiCaprio in it. It is called, BLOOD DIAMOND.

When I got out of the movie theater, I thought: "Finally, a good movie!". I loved Blood Diamond. We need more movies like that one.

the third festival of American cinematography starts on the 18th of September in Moscow

I've scrolled down the program of the festival and nothing has caught my sight :(
If I get my 3 months scholarship, probably I'm visiting Steve Bushemi's movie and documentaries

is there any out of the list worth watching in you opinion :?:

I have not seen any of the newer movies that will play at this festival, Tora. All I can tell you is that Прощай, детка, прощай has some very, very good actors in it who usually do good films.

Some of the older movies I have seen such as Liquid Sky Жидкое небо, I thought was weird.
But classics like Red River Красная река and Рио Браво Rio Bravo, with actor John Wayne Джон Уэйн, I think you should see because they will help you to understand the American way of thinking and culture.
So many of the older generation grew up watching these types of movies and many Americans "identify with" the heroic character that John Wayne portrays, particularly is Rio Grande.

I fell asleep watching this movie (It was a long ride, in my defense  ). I woke up at the end where the black guy got rich. I remembering saying, "cool, he's too gay for this set, anyways" when my cousins answered my question if Leo was already dead.

Well, it was probably too long, but that was the only bad thing I could find about the movie.

Movies

Hollowood movies something terrible. American movies = sex, violence. Where are those directors who filmed Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Mary Poppins and all of those old classics. Although Latin America doesn't have a high budget to make movies, those made in Latin America are really good. Most of them based in reality, in Latin America problems.

Well I don't think so all the movies are like this, There are some other genre of movies are also available that you must watch. Have you seen the trailers of the movie 50 50. Watch 50 50 movie trailers as this is a worth comedy movie by genre. I think that movie will be promising as its seems from the trailers of the movie.
