Hi!!!!! White Slave is not La Esclava Isaura??

Well, at México the title was the white slave, But the name of the slave in fact was Isaura. Good serie.

Some people of another countries doesn´t understand soap opers. They think that all are bored and ridiculus.
At Latinamerica we could be proud of them. There are historic soap operas, romantic soap operas, funny, politic, soap operas taking by a good novel, children soap operas.
Latinamerican people likes to see soap operas, they are like TV series, but more longer.
I know too much people who say "No, they don´t like me, they are stupid, they are bored" etc, etc. But every night they arrive home to see a soap opera.
Soap operas don´t are for fool people or only for housewife, They are for any member of the family, and for any member of the society.
In that way we have soap operas to secretarties, to rich people, to politics, to children, to teenager or youngers,etc.

A long time ago I was also nut of Mexican soap. It was first time we were able to get know about soap operas addictive effect here via local tv. station here.. I think it was on 1994.. Anyway it was a soap opera called "Metsik Roos" In Estonian. "Wild Rose" if translating to English.

I couldn't work in well because I was watching clock all the time and did step gas pedal into floor. I was so troubled by being afraid that I miss some important part. I did let some hay to grow to get quicker finished by work.. It was not shown from road, or from farm it was behind of hill.. :lol:

Yes. Isaura!! It ended up 6 months ago here in the Venezuelan TV. I was really fond of it!! It has just finished "Alma Gemela" ( better half) and I'm watching " Cobras y Lagartos". Have you even seen them??? By The way, I have some Mexican tv channels in my tv cable :wink:

Yeah that was long time ago. I have get cured of that illness, I don't watch any. They still show some, but I'm not interested. These soaps they show, are more like to women.. I don't like these wailing Latin american women there. I liked to watch a USA soap Dr. House, but unfortunately they don't show it now.

"Alma Gêmea" and "Cobras e Lagartos" were shown recently in Brazil. "A Escrava Isaura" is a novel written by Bernardo Guimarães in 1875, which became a soap opera by Rede Globo TV in 1975/76 and had a new version by Rede Record TV in 2004/2005. The newer Rede Record version had about 5 different finals filmed. People could call from home to choose the final they wanted to see. The main question in the final was "who killed Leôncio (the villain)". I don't remember the final choosed

I saw it when I was 12 or 13, I forgot. And there's another one that I saw from Mexico, too. I can't remember the name now. I have to check it on the Internet. Anyways, it was the first time I saw soap opera. The story was nice, but I kept waiting for it to end. I didn't know soap operas could go on almost forever. It was a shock when I saw my aunt watching her favorite soap, which she's been watching it more than 10 years, when I first came to the States.
