Hello. My name is Hazel Monge I'm studying English at the university now. I'm really happy about my improvement in the language. I would like to know more about you. What do you do? Are you a student? A worker? Are you planning to come here someday? Are you single? Do you like tropical weather or you prefer a northern country? I am reaslly interested in knowing about different cultures and learn about them?

Hazel.

Hi Hazel!! My Name is Andreina and I live in Tennessee, USA!! I have been living here for 7 years and I really like it. I love tropical weather, I can't stand the weather here because its always to an extreme, it's either too cold or too hot, I do like the snow though. I am currently going to school and I'm married to a Dominican, I also work at a restaurant but I am trying to find another place to work. What do you do? what are you going to school for? do you work?? what is Costa Rica like? American people love holidays... right now Halloween is coming and everyone is excited, there are usually a lot of parties and fun things to do, do you celebrate Halloween?

Hi Andreina. We like, of course, Halloween although the Catholic Church and the government are trying to change with a little touch of Costa Rica. We said no the day of the witches but the day of masquerades. Young people usually go to friends' houses or bars to party. And children do not ask for candy outside they wear costumes at school and have the party there. Yes. I am studying bussiness administration as a major but I have to take intensive English because I am in a bilingual university. I am not working but I'm wishing to do it. I am not married but I am not wishing to do it.
Come here we have very nice weather 6 months of summer and 6 months of rainy days, but it's not cold. it is always warm.

your English is very well spoken, how long how you been studying it?? I am surprised at your English, it is very proper and I admire that. After a while we forget how to speak it proper and speak what we call "slang" haha!! Well, I hope you do very well in college, and have lots of fun tonight! What kind of food do you like?

Food

Postby hmmw » Fri Nov 02, 2007 3:16 pm

Well to tell the true I like of kind of food. We said in Spanish even stones if they are cooked with scrambled eggs. Fortunately I am a thin girl so I can eat everything and I won't get fat (Being fat is something that I don't have to worry)But my favorite food is pasta. I really love them. Lasagna with chicken and sauce, is my favorite one. Sweeties are something that I don't die to eat. but occasionally I can eat a good dessert such as grasshooper but I wonder if I like the sugar or the mint liquor. What about you? Do you like the spicy food eaten in USA? When I visited the States I couldn't get use to it. I prefer typical food from my country than hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza.

What do you usually eat? Do you have to cook? What kind of food do you cook? Do you know any Costarrican recipe?

Bye Hazel

Nothing wrong when we get addicted to something positive.

More to add, we get addicted to everything positive very quickly. But I don't feel it's happening to me, for some time I kept disconnected after my Explorer's death and it's blissful reincarnation a day ago.

I was really annoyed as I wasn't able to get some common information about cinema schedule, weather forecast, Internet catalogues of some goods I would like to by in real life afterwards, but on the whole I wasn't crawling on the walls and smashing the key-board anxiously
