I guess, that more likely it causes dependency, than addiction.

extremes are bad

Postby hmmw » Fri Nov 16, 2007 3:40 pm

Hi bambang. I think all extremes are not good. If they are in excess. We can stop doing something better if we abuse with our time in the net.

I believe that anything that is done way too much is not a good thing even if you are doing productive things online, you have to have a stop control!! unfortunately most poeple dont do productive things, they missuse tha internet and do it more than they should. thats my opinion on that... :!:

I think it really causes addiction. Even (or especially) to older people. I think my dad is pretty much addicted. He's actually more Internet shopping addicted and for spam e-mails sending to me addicted than anything else, but yeah. Internet is a bad bad thing.. to people who can't use it well. And who don't understand also foreign languages, but still ordering weird things from those foreign sites. That they even self don't know or understand what for those things are.

Yes here it causes everything. I causes dependently and independently addictions and dependency.

They take away the reason to goo to office and socialise and fight with bureaucracy since everything can so easily do in Internet. Soon all Estonians become fat and lazy pizza eating otakus chained into a Laptop

Now they did set up another trap for fame-thirsting people. here (the page is only in Estonian and Russian language) They trying to make people to digitally sign a document to get into Guinness Book of Records with most digitally signed document. I first wanted to sign too, because I wanted to get my name to that book, but when I did read the document I didn't had courage to sign that.

The document did contain also english text beside Estonian and Russian
CERTIFICATE
I hereby confirm with my digital signature that I wish to participate
in setting a world record for the collection of digital signatures and
to make my life more convenient with the help of my ID card!
After casting my vote, I will use my ID card actively for my daily elec-
tronic services: I will make bank transfers online, travel with an ID ticket,
digitally sign contracts, replace paper invoices with e-invoices, check
school affairs via e-School, conduct my car business in the paper-
free Motor Vehicles Registration Center, vote by Internet, set an example
for others in traffic and sort my trash :)

Which fool would sign something like that for just a record?! It's feels like giving away my freedom not to use elec-tronic services if I feel like commune with offices old ways. Yuck Internet. It's all conspiracy, but I don't let them make me a Internet addicted Internet slave who siting in net and signing documents digitally because of addiction. I have went now everyday when the weather have been good and health well to cycling with my bicycle instead. Now I have lost some fat I accumulated in winter while siting in Internet all days along.

There are may be people to whom going to offices and other establishment buildings can be burdensome because of health or age, old people I mean...So, perhaps, for them it is a convenient way to do things through Internet.

Of course it's not convenient to go to office. But Internet is not solution for me. I want they equip every office a sexy young female official who exist there only for me. Who smiles to me and say "welcome master! how can I help you?". I want they free all streets from traffic for me when I come. And when it's bad weather, I want them change it for my favorable. Why wont they work for that. It's same realistic like this Internet nonsense they're doing. They just trying to get some fame or something.. But these exotic things like digital signatures don't work, because they're too exotic. Every time I update my browser or something it breaks down. currently It doesn't work for me at all. And I can't figure out why.
