Antivirus discussion

Postby Vega » Thu Feb 07, 2008 7:14 pm

When I bought my computer I was using Norton AntiVirus, soon I switched to Kaspersky. I didn't like it too because it was slowing down the computer's performance. Then I installed Eset Nod32. It's a very good antivirus. Now, I use AVG. It is a free of charge antivirus and from the view of CNET editors (http://www.download.com) is also a popular one.

What antivirus do you use? What do you think of it?

I'm using Avast antivirus, it's good and free. A friend has told me Kaspersky is better than Avast, but I haven't tried it yet.

I don't use any. But when I installed Windows 2000 to my dad's computer. I Installed also Antivir antivirus to his computer. I did chose that one because it did look like it didn't slow down his old computer too much., it was minimalistic but still useful. though last time I was sit behind that computer I found that the new updated version he has now didn't look that nice ands minimalistic anymore.

I'm using Kaspersky, also tried avast! and dr.web, both were less effective than my current one. Actually now I'm absolutely contented. No muss, no fuss - installed a year license and update regulary, very easy.

free software, some times is very good, but, not always, some times the software paid is most efectively than the free software. I thought that karspersky is a very good antivirus solution...
