The guy is a monster, I wonder if his daughter-wife have ever tried to kill him somehow, I mean she had to bear it for such a long period of time... Oh my god, how sorrowful, truly, the whole story is stomach turning. I hope he'll be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law
Me too, Tora.
There are still so many things I don't understand.
For instance, can't a 42-year-old woman beat a 73-year-old man? He was an elder anyway.
She was raped when she was 11. I think that's why it seems like she has no desire to escape this nightmare because most kids tend to take the fault as their own when horrible things happened to them, especially when they haven't done anything wrong. Well, not only kids do that, some adults do it as well. Like last time I was watching an interview between Oprah and the writer, Maya Angelou. Dr. Angelou said she was raped when she was six or seven. And she told other people about the raping. The rapist was put in jail afterwards. However, several days later the police told her family that the man was kicked to death. She stopped talking from that point on, for she thought she was responsible for his death. She thought her voice had killed him. That's why she was scared to speak. She was afraid if she spoke, her words would kill someone.
I think this woman might have some similar feelings. I assume that her father had told her too many reasons why she was put in the cellar. Day after day he brainwashed her with those lies to the point that she believed she deserved to be there. Anyway, I'd love to hear her voice. I'd like to know if she ever tried to escape the place. Also, I'd like to know the things she'd done during that twenty-plus years.
