Welcomwe to my country !

Postby wondering » Wed Nov 15, 2006 10:03 pm

Here in my Country, problems like drugs or violence are not in people daily worries. That is the image that certain mediums has sold in other countries. It is very sad to look foreign forums speaking of that topics as main in Colombia. :( :( :(

We are conscious of that situation but Colombians are decided to to change that image.

In that way it’s necessary for you LatinAmericans and friends, to know Colombian lands, landscapes, and especially Colombian people.

They are peaceful, friendly and welcoming with the voyager.

Please come to my country, and lets have a Colombian coffee ! :) :) :)

Colombia

It's true. I've been In Colombia. Colombia is a great place to visit or to live. There are many beautiful places to visit. You can find snow(in El Nevado del Ruiz)and you can find pretty sandy beaches (Santa Marta, Barranquilla, Cartagena, San Andres) It has pretty urban and rural areas. And as in many countries in the world they have drugs problems but not the way people see it.

Hi, jaja I don't think about drugs when I read Colombia on the forum, I actually though about Colombians pronunciation, I LOVE IT, really, when I hear a colombian taking I really enjoy that, jaja, It's strange, but I like it. In fact I like Colombia a lot, I went to San Andres, I know that it's like another country different than Colombia, but It's really really beautiful, I want to go to Bogota, but now I'm studing so I can't. Tell me things about colombia....:-)

I'm from Brazil, but I'm learning Spanish. I still can't notice too much differences between the accents of the countries.

I just can notice a difference between European and Latin American Spanish (because of their "c" and "z" pronunciation  ) and sometimes I can notice something different in the Argentine accent. Once I have watched a movie with Cubans talking, it seems their accent is a bit different too, but I don't know how.

I know native Spanish speakers can notice much more accents as well as we can notice several accents in Portuguese here in Brazil. I think accents in pronunciation are an intersting part of each culture.

I learned at school that Colombia is the fourth-largest in South America (after Brazil, Argentina, and Peru). :-D
