Problems in Africa

Postby LadyMacbeth » Wed May 31, 2006 6:05 am

It is so sad that so many tragedies happen because some people don't like their governments. On the other side why some governments are historically so ruthless and blind for the needs of the people who have chosen them to lead?:( But one thing is sure for me in this world- a bloodshed causes nothing more but even worse bloodshed:(((

I agree with you LadyMacbeth it makes me cry everytime I see these bad news on television, and see that noone act to solve these problems, and many people die everyday while other rich countries spend their money in wars.
Let´s join together for the peace.

I once heard a man said it somewhere, "The problems Africa has maybe because Africa is cursed for selling its own people away." Quite sad that slavery made a dramatic change for Africa.

Do you think that it is the reason why?
I just think that other countries took advantaje of them, just because they are black skin, and poor country, that thought that doing this they will earn money but they lost prestige

I think it's a part of many reasons why. Africa was and still is the richest land of natural resources. This oldest continent had its civilization really early. However, this was cut short by the slave trading. Young and women Africans, especially, were sold and/or kidnapped for slavery, which damaged the growth of Africa. Young people are the main labor in any country. They reproduce more work labor, bring new ideas, and can endure harsh jobs-- they're the main sources of changes. Just imagine your country with harsh environment, you would need many young people to cultivate the land. However, those people were taken to other countries. What would happen to yours?

But I also think that if you do not want to do something you can come together with all your country and fight against it, so they could never be slavers, we will have to research depper on this, to have a better argument on history.

It's easier said than done. They were labeled as inferior based on their skin. And within those African countries, they discriminate each other based on religious beliefs or clan.

That is wrong! They were labeled as inferior based on their accomplishments, ......nothing! While the rest of the world had flourished in science, with inventions and explorations and philosophies, Africa had remained savage and superstitious. Even today with all this access to knowledge and still nothing good has come out of Africa.

Had the early White explorers, when they stumbled across Africans, found a technologically and scientifically advanced people, they would surely NOT have been labeled as inferior. The stigma of racism is based on cultural and scientific advancement.

We were considered and treated like inferior just because we were different. Advancement in science had nothing to do with that, we, Africans we had our own science religion and culture.
If you really think that we knen nothing, why didn't you teach us and show us the right way?

How many of African kids go to school? We have elites (in science, litterature, sports ...) though but the developed countries take them away.
