I consider Egypt as an African country, and you must agree that Egypt was on its top because of its ancient civilization. And then the Roman Empire came. And all the civil wars, slavery, colonization, etc. had damaged the growth of Africa.

Well, I think European countries were the only ones had guns around this time. Most Asian countries didn't access guns and neither did African countries. However, there's a big different in economy between Asian countries and African countries due to the fact that most Asian youths weren't captured or sold as slaves to Europe or America.
