"I'm a not-so-starving artist steadily working on writing future NY Times bestsellers"
I don't get this sentence.... first he says he's not a starving artist [i](ok), steadily working on "writing" (I thought he's an artist, how come it ends up in writing?), future NY Times bestsellers (does he trying to say he's a writer who is not "well known" yet but working his way up to writing NY T bestsellers in the future? And BUT still financially ok), and one day achieving literary rockstardom.(means he believe he'll be BIG someday?)
