This week: Brasil and its carnaval

Which is better, the carnaval or New Orleans Mardi Gras?

I'm from south Brazil and besides Sao Paulo the southerns states, carnaval is just
a nice holiday to enjoy @the beach with friends and family the idea that all Brazilian
love carnaval is not real in south Brazil where we actually love Oktoberfest more than
carnaval and we are very proud of our Oktoberfest, The sad thing is that if you are
a guy and you are going to Brazil just because the woman, sorry in south Brazil the women there are very respectful they won't be dancing naked on the streets !!!!
But if u are looking for fun Oktoberfest in Brazil is a great place!

A lot of people would be disappointed! Haha. I didn't know that Octoberfest is big in Brazil!

It depends of each one. It's a personal opinion. I don't like carnaval, and I don't now New Orleans' festival very much.

Brazil a very large country and it makes its culture be very variated. I'm not sure if Oktoberfest is so famous in the southern states, maybe in some cities only. But stcatarina must have more informations about it, because I don't live there. The thing I know is that carnival is not the prefered holiday of all Brazilians as well as football is not the prefered sport of all of them. And I think carnaval is more popular in Northern states than in the Southern ones.

Yes, the same way you can't say all americans like american football or fast food. I don't know what is your country, but you know the idea foreigners have about your country is not whole right, isn't it?

Yes I know. I was just exaggerating because I've seen how Brazilians are passionate about football and I'm just saying that as a country, Brazil loves football. Meaning more Brazilians love it than hate it. :)
