By making someone famous you can put this person in danger, or prisoner of the media... but if people did more act than consum information, media would not be as powerful as they are. That's same behaviour as a enterprise : if nobody went to MakeDosis, BurkerKling or WallSmart, obesity would not be as problematic as we can see in the world.

People (think i could write in the name of all people ) have a basic needs of affection. They want to get other people's attention and they insist to be loved. That's one thing but for being famous i think it's another point. What makes people get fame should be more important than the popularity itself. I think most people wants to be famous in a positive way.
