Skiing tourism

Post by Anerol »

Is it correct to say "skiing tourism", "skiing area", "skiing day"? Or rather "ski tourism / area / day ?

I had the feeling that "skiing resort" was correct, but the more I search it seems to be used mostly in websites written in English, but that originate from other countries. However, websites from US or UK seem to use mostly "ski tourism / area / etc". I know that just making a search on the web does not make something correct or incorrect, but I haven't found anything in the dictionaries, grammar books, etc.

Can someone shed some light on this matter, please.

The correct way to say these would be:

Ski tourism: Ski tourism is a growing market.
Ski area: This is my favorite ski area
Day of Skiing: We had an enjoyable day of skiing.
Ski Day: How do you like to spend your ski day?
Ski Resort: We will meet our friends at the ski resort.

I hope this helps!
