Tukanja, your reply was really clever. One suggestion I have: it's a lot more natural in English to express a negative with "don't": "I don't think I'm as confused about it as you are."
Lamlu, regarding your question, here are some example sentences:
- Advertising in print is twice as effective as TV.
- Scientists claim junk food is as addictive as heroin.
- As much as we would all love to just concentrate on the translation aspect of our business, the administrative side is a necessary evil we should all master.
- Test score numbers show girls are as good at math as boys

You can use an adverb or an adjective between the two AS...AS.
As an adverb:
John runs as fast as Merry.
As an adjective:
Ali is as inteligent as Muhammad.

I think we use "as" in different situations like when we are comparing or doing similarity between two things. Sometimes it is used as an adjective.
